I wanted to share this God-centered response from Desiring God concerning the tornado-ravaged swath of our country.
It’s been quite a while since I’ve blogged about anything. Not really sure why.
Lack of ideas?
I’m not really sure. One thing that I’ve been thinking about lately is how much I tend to over-think. It’s then I find my thoughts too complicated and I’m unable to even come up with something to blog about that would make ANY sense to anyone.
Life certainly comes at us rapid-fire! The news is certainly information overload and even against the backdrop of our personal beliefs life gets hard to sort out and at times, certainly makes NO sense at ALL.
It’s during those times that I feel extremely inadequate and ill-equipped to blog. Should that stop me? I’m not sure about that answer either, but now that I’m making myself blog about something I feel like the fog is lifting and I’m beginning to unscrambled my thoughts.
I don’t know about you, but I go through periods of time when I feel like I’m paralyzed in my actions. I’m either overwhelmed with a myriad of things to do and don’t know where to begin, or I get sidetracked and splinter off in a thousand different directions when I finally do sit down and try to accomplish something.
There are ways I “center myself.” Scripture and related reading, reading subjects that are WAY above my comprehension level, praying and meditating on good things.
I believe when you get bogged down for any reason, you need to find ways to refocus and reshape your thoughts.
